I did a small bug fix on this version. The Pro mentioned that when you enter your name with the keyboard (which I had not even try, the key repeat is so fast that you type multiple letters - I had only used the joystick for HS entry). So I changed this.

Cosmetic bugs I saw, but didn't fix:

> Grey dots on C64C, especially after level 6 just before mid boss is loaded.
> One end of level text, stills shows some of the background scenery at the bottom of the starfield.

In the original documentation Bieno (who did the QA) has his name spelled wrong.

Unlike the Laxity / Onslaught version the Excess one is based on the commercial release, which has had a few minor changes over the previously (presumably leaked) version. Additionally, there is no disk access/loading between levels 1-6 and 7-12 making the game more enjoyable.

Level packed with Exomizer V3.0.2 and uses a modified loader based on Fileload V2.1.2 I had major problems at the start with the HS save, then I rembered my own comment about the ZP values that really screw up KERNEL routines. The disk access routines are seemingly faster in the Excess version. Tested on (original HW and popular emulator solutions) :

> 1541 & 1541-II
> 1571
> 1581
> SD2IEC

Some of the code was removed as not needed (eg GMOD2, EPROM code, ByteBoozer 2.0 depack code), and the speedcode that was executed directly from the cartridge was rolled up and stored in memory. About 20 potential load accesses were replaced by load from memory using the space found and freed up.

Some of the trainer ideas that were suggested, but not implemented include:

> Can't fall down holes
> Bonus items don't time out
