A lot of work was put into this release by the Nostalgia Crew. The game was deemed unfixable for over a decade, but has now been NTSC fixed. Many bugs in the graphics and game itself were fixed in this release. Been getting some requests to list the bug fixes, so I'll attempt it I guess. =]

Wrong colors of walls in level 2 fixed. (compared against arcade version)
Some graphics chars in level 2 were fixed, as they had random data which was ugly in them (under the cannons).
Random loss of lives (2) when starting a new level.
Random loss of lives (2) when falling off screen.
Several fatal crashes under certain circumstances on both PAL and NTSC. (time runs out, end of stage, all lives lost)
Dying in certain places made the map screw up when restarting the game, you would start in the middle of nowhere.
Random graphics corruption in the score/weapon/lives panel.
Sometimes your current weapon was not carried over when starting the next stage.
The suicide key was implemented for times when you get stuck in the stage graphics (rare), there was no way to fix this collision bug in the limited space available. Nearly every byte of memory is used in the game.
Bugs in the NMI routines fixed. (also causing crashes and graphics corruptions).
