Jack Nicklaus Course Disks
Im trying to find out some more about the course disks for Jack Nicklaus Golf.
Anyone here found the Jack Nicklaus Courses 1989. The ATC version and the ATC+Paninaro version are found, but is there others?
I have tried to find the Jack Nicklaus Courses 1990. Anyone found any cracked/imported versions of this time.
About International Courses V2. Why is it called V2? Hotline imported it from the states. Anyone know who released it in the states?
Hope anyone can help

We still dont know who Hotline imported their course disk from (Jack Nicklaus Presents the International Course Disk).
International Courses gets called International Courses Vol. 2 because someone along the way made a mistake. It's Volume 2 of all of the course disks, there is no International Courses Vol. 1.
The Major Championship Courses of 1990 has since been found but only a PAL-fixed version (Jack Nicklaus Presents the Major Championship Courses of 1990 +F). INC's NTSC original is missing. Not sure why course data disks need PAL fixing to begin with? Aside from this, all of the course disks have found their way in one form or another onto CSDb and Gamebase, except for Volume 5 (see below).
There are a lot more of these releases floating around out there than I expected and folks havent been posting them because they think they're already here and when they do get posted it's difficult to get the name right. Some issues are that the group will name their release something super generic like "Extra Courses" or something that's just plain incorrect like the International Courses mistake.
The best way to identify which course disk you're looking at are the file names on the disk which match the course names in the expansion pack. The naming convention is coursename.h01 - coursename.h18 (hole 1 - hole 18).
Main Game:
Jack Nicklaus' Greatest 18 Holes of Major Championship Golf
Side A - nick.hxx -- Side B - castle.hxx, coch.hxx
Course Disks:
Jack Nicklaus Presents the Major Championship Courses of 1989 (Course Disk Volume 1)
Side A - kemper.hxx, oakhill.hxx -- Side B - troon.hxx
Jack Nicklaus Presents the International Course Disk (Course Disk Volume 2)
Often mis-named as International Courses Vol. 2
Side A - mellion.hxx, sydney.hxx -- Side B - stcreek.hxx
Jack Nicklaus Presents the Major Championship Courses of 1990 (Course Disk Volume 3)
Side A - shoal.hxx, medinah.hxx -- Side B - standrew.hxx
Jack Nicklaus Presents the Great Courses of the U.S. Open (Course Disk Volume 4)
Side A - balt.hxx, oakmont.hxx - Side B - pebble.hxx
Jack Nicklaus Presents the Major Championship Courses of 1991 (Course Disk Volume 5)
May never have been published for the 64. If it were the filenames would be something matching Royal Birkdale, Hazeltine and Crooked Stick.
Note: I dont know Jack shit about golf or anything else about this game. I've never even played it, so I cant answer any other questions. |

Yes it is, and the original China Syndrome crack has been in the Db since the end of 2012. It might not have been recognizable though, I've just went through and given all these releases their proper names. |
