i've never heard a better pure-metal-tune on a c64. thumbs up.

Some parts I like, some I don't. Kinda unique style though which is good.

wow - thats a massive job you did there. almost makes me wanna start banging.

Guess you did unfiltered, raw sounds in order to make as much noise as possible. kinda get that. not sure it would be that much more "guitaresque" with newschool 8580 thingies in there.

would love to hear it though :)

Cool!

Yeah, Rock'n'Roll tunes rule! But I also miss bass in the melodic part.

Doing metal on the c64 always takes courage, very respectable version. Nice tight drums. The guitar is somewhat plain sounding, which makes the rhythm easy to hear, but like NecroPolo said could be dirtier. During the melodic chorus the drop-out of bass is kind of noticeable, it might be possible to combine kickdrum and bass guitar, but obviously changes the sound and isn't without its own problems.

In the dreaminess of X2012 music releases that are not really for me (anyway, respect for the competence in the genre, all composers there), this one seriously kicks ass. Great work man.

The only downside for me: it is a rather rough nature metal tune and sounds are too nice in my opinion. A little exaggerated comparison but you'll get it as the style clearly shows where you're from musically: Raining Blood wouldn't have the same impact if it was played with an acoustic guitar.

With a 8580, you can make some bloodshed using mixed waveforms. If you use a pluse on channel1 and some sync (or even ring) on channel2 that folows channel1, you can give some extra grit to it. Try 55, 57, 65 or 67. Add some filtering and it will blast the enamel off the teeth :)

As i said to britelite at the compo, you have to like the kind of music it covers to fully appreciate this one.

(something tells me cadaver will enjoy this one)

After listening to it at home i gotta say its pretty complex and well done.
The instruments are a bit rough for my taste, but thats just me :D

I cant help being reminded of playing DOOM back in the 90's when listening to these metal genre kind of tunes.
