Text from ByeByeBas

Description:This is the complete text from this demo.
Text:Hello there. I cooked up this little thing this morning to mark the end of an era in the Netherlands. The Dirk vanden Broek retail group decided that, from this month on, their different brands of supermarkets will all carry the same name. As a result of some company fusing and purchasing three brands had emerged during the nineties, namely: Dirk vanden Broek, Bas van der Heijden en Digros. (what's in a name anyway) However... In the first years of the 21st century a pricing war broke out between the supermarket chains in the Netherlands and the 'Dirk' group decided, for some reason, to put their Bas van der Heijden brand on the frontline. After almost five years of relentless fighting Bas van der Heijden came out as the clear winner, pricewise, forcing the Laurens NV group to almost shut down their Konmar brand and JUMBO and Albert Heijn to completely change the way they do business to remain the biggest, gross-sellingwise. Ofcourse, during the battle, marketing was used extensively and one of the key elements in advertising for the Bas van der Heijden brand was the so-called 'BasTas' which literally means: 'bag from Bas',making no impact in english but having a resounding rhyme in dutch. You truly saw those three underlined letters everywhere. But now the pricing battle is, more or less, over and the 'Dirk' group decided it was time to let the original brand of Dirk vanden Broek be the one to carry the flag again. Having harmonised the styling of all the different brands in the past two years to let people get used to it, the final stage of renaming has finished last month. So this means that the (in)famous 'BasTas' is going to disappear from the streets and households in Holland and you can look upon this as a celebration of a true Dutch-Design icon. Thanks for reading and until next time. Credits (as far as I can speak of): code: A0d, picture wired from an illustration from the site of Reklet advertising agency without their permission, great and sad tune which is a little 'overdressed' for this: DRAX (also used without permission, thank you anyway) A0d of WGI 2015 in MMXIV
