There are so many new excellent C64 graphics in last few years done by JonEgg, Carrion, DrTerrorz, The Sarge, Facet, Prowler and many others, I think we need updated TapeCart slideshow.

@Digger: It wouldn't :( Data from TapeCart is handled differently than regular Datasette.

This slideshow was made as a show case for the new TapeCart hardware: TapeCart

It features 1.6 MB of compressed images. 251 MC bitmaps, a hand-selected and extracted subset of all entrys on CSDb (plus some additional ones) that ranked >= 8.
Currently it can only be seen on real tapecart hardware. I hope for an implementation in Vice, of course.
The PDF in the download area shows all gfx Titles + Graphicians and year of release. The Slideshow itself only shows the Artist + year.
There are are 13 different 'wipe' patterns that are use forward and backwards of which Veto provided two.
A better video is in the making, here is a quick test shot:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZw7A_lcxJw
While it was quite some work to extract and sort all gfx files properly, I believe this is the largest top quality selection of multicolor bitmap graphics as of today.
All gfx were sorted for their background color, to allow for wipes inbetween images. It fades to black when the background color changes, too.
http://enthusi.de/sizes.png shows a histogram of the packed sizes of all gfx (from 10KB raw). Some day I should sort this by artists too. Joe's and veto's style i.e. turn out to be hardly compressible at all and dominate the right hand side of the histogram.
Of the 251 images, 158 use black as $d021. Only Mermaid and Joe used $02, no one uses $04 (but Ptoing has one without usage of $d021). Only Deev uses $0d and $0e was used in images by Ptoing, veto and leon. $0f was used in 28 images again.
