Love Asteroids, and it's sure a great feeling being able to play this on my real hardware.

Nice version. Finally some real work done on this one.
Works fine on WinVICE-2.4.3-x86-r27338 from http://vice.pokefinder.org .

Hmmm, aparently it is the version of WinVice that blackscreens when I am using Overlays. Worked fine on older 2.3 winvice... sorry for the misreport.

It fixes the bug that when you press fire on the 'press fire button to start' screen it doesn't black screen.

It doesn't happen all the time, but often enough to be an issue. Basically it was doing a block copy over some quite dodgy areas (0100-0400) without disabling the interrupts.

See the comments/goof in:-
Asteroids Emulator (Build March 17, 2013)

Note, the release was updated within ~ 1 hour as there came to light a issue with the non-english languages option.

BTW, what is the problem with overlays - they seem to work fine for me? Have you tried it on a colour TV/ monitor ;-P

So... what was fixed? Also the OVERYLAY option (F3) still doesn't work. Pfffft....
