I know he was speaking about the "J". but I thought he didn't notice the question mark, which is even "weirder" :)

Cool entry. :) Segmented displays on the C64 is having a resurgence lately!

Yes, I'm guessing he actually meant the J. Gdit, I was quite pleased with that one.

Happy to admit the question mark's a bit munted, mind :D

@JackAsser: Haha, thanks! Given you had one in the pipeline, I'm now quite glad I couldn't sleep last night.

Hahaha! I’ve been sketching on a 14-seg routine for this compos the last few days. Now I don’t have to anylonger. :D Awesome execution!

Passes verification!

Now, I have to first of all thank you ChristopherJam for proving my theory that it indeed would be possible to skip ROM entirely and do segment-based generation.
Then I must curse you for totally invalidating my own plans! I had some thoughts on doing a segment based implementation, but it I hadn't even started implementing yet, and it would not have been anywhere near as good as this anyway! :)

Excellent entry, very strong start to the compo!

Thank you both.

@Digger: That would be against the compo rules! It'd be nice to see them in a demo some time though.
