He even stole an idea from Moonwalk/WoT that we stole from Digital Delight/PD. That made me laugh. :-)

Maybe it's a joke nobody gets, that they won the compo with stolen fake stuff?

If I remember correctly they also took a logo by Compyx (from Untouchable) and used it in this demo.

I think Krill meant it's lame that they cheated in the compo to win more is lame. As in ripping of the guys who made the compo as well as other participants. I have to agree on that, it's not a very nice thing to do really.

Just to get things straight, are we talking real ripping or just idea-stealing here? I'm somehow having a hard time imagining Crossbow ripping other people's code straight off...

Yes, atleast some (if not all) of the parts are ripped from other demos. The plotsphere for example is taken from "1 Year Camelot III". I noticed two other parts from "Attack of Stubidos" and "Anal Intruder" from Beyond Force aswell.

I've also recognized slightly modified demoparts from Genesis Project, Censor Design, Crest(!), Beyond Force, Camelot and Flash Inc. in this demo.

Rip? And I thumbed up for this demo. Lame.
From which demo(s) was the rip?

Crest did some FD-Tools.

By releasing two demos, one under Tough (this one) and one under Crest, Crest "won" the 1st and 3rd place of the 64'er magazine demo competition. The prizes were some CMD hardware like FD-2000 and JiffyDOS - a pity that Crest didn't support the FD from then on by implementing a compatible IRQ-loader in their demos! ;-)

I've read in a hungarian paper-mag that this demo is actually a work of Xbow under a pseudo-nick. Is that really true?
